Challenge:
Preston Hardware is Canada's largest
independent hardware retailer, and each year they host one of the
largest tool and hardware trade shows in the region: ToolFest! Over
the past thirteen years, ToolFest had grown in both size and scope,
and they were planning their 2008 event to be bigger and better
than ever.
As Preston Hardware's primary Ottawa marketing and advertising
partner, the goal at Marketing Breakthroughs was to showcase the
enormous annual success of ToolFest in a manner that would attract
new customers and potential vendors to the 2008 event.
Solution:
The solution was MB's video production services. MB
began preparing for this project almost a year in advance by
bringing a camera crew to document the ToolFest 2007 event. This
invaluable footage, featuring interviews with representatives from
brand-name vendors like DeWalt and Makita, as well as an interview
with Preston Hardware Owner and President Mario Giannetti, would
lay a foundation for the following year's ToolFest campaign.
In order to produce material that would catch the attention of
both customers and potential vendors, we divided the project into
two separate videos:
With both videos, our goal was to showcase Preston Hardware's
ToolFest as the can't-miss event of the year for every plumber,
electrician, designer, and builder in Ottawa, and to reinforce
Preston Hardware's branding while reflecting their motto of
Service, Selection, and Value.
Results:
The new video was available on Youtube and on Preston Hardware's
SEO website. You
