Getting a prospect's attention and making a memorable impression
are two of the keys to successful advertising and marketing. At the
September 20, 2007 Advocis Ottawa professional development
conference, the Marketing Breakthroughs team made a huge impact,
providing financial advisors with food for thought -- in more ways
than one.
A engaging and enlightening workshop, together with an
eye-catching display and complimentary bite-sized pieces of cherry
cheesecake -- reinforcing our slogan for the day, which asked
financial advisors if they wanted a "bigger slice" of their market
-- made the afternoon a resounding success.
Steve Klein, MB President and Creative Director, led an creative
and interactive workshop titled Winning New Clients: A Fun,
Useful and Interactive Workshop for Financial Advisors. The
goals of the course were to provide practical marketing suggestions
to advisors on how to attract new clients and improve the
effectiveness of their advertising. Steve also presented material
from his recent FORUM Magazine interview on referral
marketing and an upcoming article on networking.
One of the main areas of focus in Steve's presentation was website
marketing. Through the use of an extensive questionnaire entitled
How Good is your Website: Take the MB Test, Steve
encouraged advisors to sit down and review every area of their
website, from the clarity and credibility of its messaging to the
amount of content available and how search engine
optimized the site's content is.
MB plans to present similar seminars to Advocis chapters in
Halifax and Toronto in the coming months.
