Krystal Bevin, Director of Client Services

Hailing from "Down Under," Krystal's multifaceted background includes working as a broadcast journalist, a teacher, an event planner, and a marketing and public relations specialist - and we're lucky to have her as part of our team as our Senior Marketing and Events Manager.

Krystal earned a Bachelor of Communication with Honours from the University of Newcastle in Australia, where she majored in Public Relations and Broadcast Journalism. She was the recipient of the prestigious Broadcast Journalism Student of the Year award, which accelerated her on the path to becoming a news reader and broadcast journalist with a nationally affiliated news organization in Australia, where she helped cover the Sydney Summer Olympics in 2000. Krystal has also worked in print media, publishing articles in regional newspapers and a range of magazines.

After earning her Diploma of Education, Krystal moved into the government and education sectors where she gained valuable experience teaching at high schools, event planning for state conferences, and doing marketing and public relations work, including a project where she had to rebuild the reputation of an isolated small community school in the Australian Outback.

Krystal wears several hats at Marketing Breakthroughs, including project managing, copywriting, marketing planning, website redevelopment, and event planning. She appreciates the fast-paced, team-oriented atmosphere at MB and always brings dynamic energy to the relationships she develops with her clients.

Having only recently relocated to Canada, Krystal is still adjusting to the harsh Canadian climate. Her hobbies include singing and playing the guitar, defending her (self-proclaimed) title as the "Queen of Karaoke," watching reality TV shows, and checking her Facebook account. She loves visiting New York City and cannot survive without her daily bubble bath.
